Why This Is a Breakthrough
Before the MDP MCP Server, LLMs faced three hard walls when asked to match records at scale:
- Context window limits. A model cannot hold millions of records in memory. Attempting to match large datasets inside a prompt produces truncated, unreliable results.
- Hallucinated matches. Without a deterministic matching engine, LLMs guess similarity — producing false positives that corrupt downstream data.

The MDP MCP Server is built on FastMCP, hosted and publicly reachable — no local install required. Authentication is OAuth 2.1. It works with any MCP-compatible client out of the box.
Step 1 — Connect your AI agent
Point your MCP-compatible client (Claude desktop or web connector, ChatGPT, Cursor, or a custom agent) at the MDP MCP Server. Authenticate via OAuth 2.1. The server uses deferred tool-search loading, so the full 54-tool catalogue does not overwhelm the agent’s context window — tools are surfaced on demand.
Step 2 — Describe the outcome in plain language
Tell your agent what you need: “Deduplicate the customer records in this data source, match on name and address, flag pairs above 85% confidence, and export the golden records.” The agent interprets the instruction and calls the appropriate MDP tools in sequence.
